Chainline Bikes is San Diego’s premiere high-end bike shop & service center. We perform all bicycle services from basic adjustments & brake bleeds to complete teardown overhauls & suspension rebuilds.
Our service center is open 12-7p Monday through Friday and 10-4p on Saturday. Call us at (619) 383-1005 to schedule an appointment with a mechanic or drop in during business hours.
Chainline Bikes offers bicycle pick up and/or delivery service within San Diego County at a cost of $50 each way.
Service Packages
Regularly servicing your bike prolongs the life of your components and ensures your bike will reliably get you through all of your outdoor adventures. We recommend avid riders have their bikes tuned up quarterly and have a complete overhaul performed once a year.
Tune Up
- Clean braking surfaces & adjust brake pads
- Adjust derailleur(s)
- Inspect & lubricate drivetrain
- Inspect & align Derailleur Hanger
- Check tubeless sealant (add if necessary)
- Inspect & adjust all bearing surfaces (bottom bracket, headset, hubs, suspension pivots, etc.)
- Torque all bolts (handlebar, stem, seatpost, cranks, pedals, etc.)
- Inspect fork & shock seals
- Inspect dropper seatpost
- Inspect cable housing
- Measure chain wear & inspect for stiff/damaged links
Drivetrain Clean
- Clean cassette, derailleur(s) & replace shifter cable
- Clean fork & shock seals
Overhaul
- Complete disassembly of bike
- Clean & reinstall all components with fresh grease & lube
- Replace fork fluid (if necessary)
- Re-torque every bolt
- Bleed brakes
- Replace cables & housing
- Retention spokes & true wheels
